Feature Spotlight: What is the Ecosystem?

Thanks again to everyone who voted for us to present at Mass Innovation Nights – we landed in the #2 spot! Unfortunately due to Boston weather (panic appeared but snow did not), the event was postponed to tonight, February 17.  We already had a prior engagement scheduled, so we won’t be on the docket until probably March. We’ll post updates here and on Twitter.

With our (hopefully) riveting 5 minute demo delayed, we are devoting blog space for a series highlighting specific sections of the site, their functions, and how they can benefit you.

What? You thought we were just a blog? Oh, no – careinnovators is full of functions just waiting to be explored. In this post, we’ll talk about the Ecosystem.

As your first stop for research on the health care industry, the interactive careinnovators Ecosystem provides you with news and financial updates, as well as links to other helpful resources. The Ecosystem can help you:

  • Conduct market research
  • Find partners, clients, and competitors
  • Spot industry trends
  • Discover funding sources
  • Target your networking efforts
  • Generate leads
  • Track and stay up-to-date with everything

Start by searching for items of interest to you – people, companies, investors or public institutions. When you find what you want, track your research by creating Watchlists in a few simple steps. Near the top of each item page, you’ll see an “Add to Watchlist” button. Create a new Watchlist or add the item to an existing Watchlist with a simple click. We’ll highlight Watchlists in detail in a future post, but if you just can’t wait (we don’t blame you!), click “How to Use Watchlists”.

Didn’t find a company, person, or event you want to track? You can add new items to the Ecosystem by hitting the “Add New…” button on any main directory page such as “Companies”, and we’ll collect data from around the web for you!

Got new information on an Ecosystem item? Click the “Edit” button on any item page and make changes directly on the site. We’ll validate your changes and make them live as fast as we can.

Take a spin around the Ecosystem and let us know what you think. In the future, if you need a refresher, simply hit the “New to the Ecosystem?” button on the Ecosystem home page for text shockingly similar to this blog post.

Have questions that we didn’t address? Ask us with the “Feedback” button to the left.
