CeNeRx is a specialty biopharmaceutical company developing and commercializing innovative treatments for diseases of the central nervous system (CNS). Based in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Park region, CeNeRx is developing a balanced portfolio that includes clinical-stage therapeutics for the treatment of depression, anxiety and epilepsy and a preclinical pipeline of selective cannabinoid compounds for treating pain, glaucoma and spasticity.
CeNeRx’s lead product candidate TriRima™ is a member of the novel RIMA class–Reversible Inhibitors of Monoamine oxidase-A. Its unique triple action mechanism and potentially favorable safety profile could be of value to patients who have not responded well to traditional antidepressant therapy. TriRima is in Phase II development for the treatment of major depressive disorder.
