CytoPherx, Inc., founded in July 2007 and headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a venture-backed, clinical stage medical device company addressing inflammation-based diseases and conditions with a proprietary selective cytopheresis system.
The Company’s products are custom, patent-protected configurations of commercially available hollow fiber dialysis filters that are used in a proprietary manner to sequester and deactivate leukocytes in the patient’s blood system. The Company is initially focused on acute renal failure (ARF), end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and acute inflammation induced by cardio pulmonary bypass (CPB) surgery.
