Dimerix Bioscience Pty Ltd (Dimerix) is developing next generation Drugs selectively or allosterically targeting G-Protein Coupled Receptor (GPCR) heterodimers (pairs of receptors).
GPCRs are the targets for almost half of all approved pharmaceuticals.
Dimerix proprietary GPCR-Heterodimer Identification Technology (GPCR-HIT):
* Identifies GPCR pairs forming new functional receptor units known as GPCR heterodimers;
* Profiles compounds or marketed Drugs to Understand GPCR heterodimer effects;
* Screens compound libraries to identify Drugs affecting GPCR heterodimers.
Dimerix is applying its technology, in collaboration, to improve existing GPCR Drugs (e.g. by understanding heterodimer side effects) and to identify new drug candidates which target GPCR heterodimers.
Dimerix’s other programs focus on product life extension with marketed Drugs that act synergistically through a GPCR heterodimer complex.
