7089498 Method for Preparing and Using Personal Genetic Profiles.
The patent provides a solution for managing personal genetic data as follows:
Process the DNA sample and use the values in the individuals DNA to create a unique user account and authenticate ownership over the dataset.
Leverage mapping software technology (Geographic Information Systems) for the visual display and distribution of genetic information based on chromosome and base pair location(s).
Create tools to manage the flow of information between consumers and all industry sectors based on selection sets of the data.
