Inotek Pharmaceuticals is a clinical-stage ophthalmic pharmaceutical company developing therapies with novel mechanisms of action to address significant diseases of the eye.
The Company’s lead program, INO-8875, is a highly selective Adenosine-1 receptor agonist being evaluated for the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure associated with open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. The compound has completed a Phase 1/2 clinical trial in patients. Treatment with INO-8875 was well tolerated and resulted in a statistically significant reduction in intraocular pressure (IOP).
Additionally, Inotek has a portfolio of emerging programs targeting a broad range of retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.
Inotek has built a first-class drug development and management team to move the Company’s programs forward in clinical trials. The Company is privately held and is based in Lexington, MA.
