Informed decisions will improve the way cancer is treated. On-Q-ity is an innovative diagnostic company that is focused on providing physicians with the tools they need to make the best decision when treating individual cancer patients. Our platform will enable better decision-making across multiple cancers: improving the quality of life for patients and ultimately increasing survival.

Products currently in development are based on two core technologies: 1) DNA repair biomarkers that predict treatment response and 2) Microfluidic chip technology that enables capture, enumeration and characterization of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in the bloodstream.

PERSONALIZED MEDICINE DIAGNOSTICS ARE VITAL FOR IMPROVING CANCER OUTCOMES

Over the past 40 years, survival and quality of life for cancer patients have slowly improved. Survival has increased 20% in blood related cancers. Yet, treatment of solid tumors have shown significantly less progress, despite breakthroughs in understanding cancer’s development and an increasing number of available therapies.

Surprisingly unique in their response, solid tumors aggressively alter their molecular status based on their response to treatment. 75% of individual drug prescriptions are not effective for the patient; absent effective diagnostics, therapy selection is still largely trial and misguided error. Oncologists desperately need effective molecular diagnostics to help guide their treatment plans.

On-Q-ity diagnostics will identify the unique characteristics of individual cancer, predicting the response to therapies, and monitoring the progress of treatment. This essential information is provided directly to the treating physician, impacting the decisions and altering the future of care.
