New-generation interstitial PDT
SpectraCure AB is commercialising its unique Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) system with IDOSE®* for interstitial PDT using real-time dosimetry. The technology behind this new-generation PDT is based on research carried out by Professor Sune Svanberg and colleagues at the Atomic Physics Division and the Lund University Medical Laser Centre.
The SpectraCure PDT System with IDOSE® has the potential to be used in a broad range of tumours such as pancreatic cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, and metastases of colon cancer in the liver, as well as prostate cancer.
The SpectraCure PDT System with IDOSE® is now in the proof-of-concept phase. When this is complete, SpectraCure will enter into industrial collaborations and partnerships. SpectraCure is already working in close cooperation with leading physicians and PDT experts regarding system application.
