Verio Therapeutics Inc. (”Verio”) is a bio-pharmaceutical company with a novel approach in the stem cell field. We are focused on the discovery and development of biologics and small molecule Drugs that stimulate stem cells already present in the human body to regenerate or repair organ-specific tissues for the treatment of disease, a new field known as ”regenerative medicine”.

Our particular expertise encompasses the identification of regulatory pathways that control the function of stem cells in tissue regeneration. We then target these stem cell pathways to stimulate regeneration in selected organs damaged by disease, thus restoring function. To-date, Verio’s programs include the discovery of therapeutic candidates that we have shown in aboratory and animal model testing to be capable of:

• regenerating cardio-myocytes to treat severe cardiac dysfunction following heart attacks;

• stimulating the production of new insulin producing ?cells to treat diabetes;

• promoting the growth of new skeletal muscle fibers to treat diseases such as sarcopenia;

• reducing damage caused by muscular dystrophy.
