      Arshad Ahmed is a Partner and Co-founder of Scientia Advisors and leads its practice in growth strategy development for clients in the life science and healthcare industries including medical devices/diagnostics, therapeutics, discovery tools and applied/environmental areas.

      With more than 15 years of strategy consulting experience in health care, life science, and other global industries, Arshad has deep understanding of the importance of innovation in the field of medicine and its potential impact in the marketplace. His background has proved invaluable to health care and life science companies seeking to generate sustainable growth and profitability while facing competitive threats, disruptions, evolving regulatory policies and unprecedented challenges in the global economy.

      At Scientia, Arshad oversees the company’s overall strategic approach and processes to identify unmet market needs and growth trends; establish market segmentation and go-to-market plans; evaluate potentially disruptive technologies; formulate strategic and transactional plans, and connect merger and acquisition partners. He has developed the fundamental methodologies that have allowed Scientia to assist its clients in their growth plans.

      Before founding Scientia, Arshad worked at The Boston Consulting Group and held senior consulting positions at Integral Inc. and Potomac Partners management consulting.

      Arshad Ahmed’s writing credits include influential industry briefing papers, including ”Developing Growth Strategy in Turbulent Economics Times”, ”A Prescription for Identifying and Executing on Growth Opportunities in Healthcare” and ”Assessing the Life Sciences Tool Market – How Have Companies Fared in Regard to Long-term Growth Potential.”

      Arshad holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago/Urbana and an MBA in Finance and Business Strategy from the University of Chicago. He speaks German and Urdu, in addition to English.
